| Belgian-born artist, Arthur Bernard now lives and works in the Netherlands. His beautiful paintings often seem to blend music with colors. Arthur received his training at the Koninklijke voor Schone Kunsten, Mechelen (BELGIUM), la Academia Vrije, Rótterdam and at the van Beeldende Kunsten, Rótterdam. I work on my canvas like a choregrapher. Listening to music I paint movements with a large brush: colour over colour, colour against colour, sometimes with thinned paint that starts to drip, at other times with pasty paint......” |
