Biography:
|
| Carlos Ciriza was born in Estella (Navarra) in 1964. He started drawing and paint from a very young age. His artistic education was heavily influenced by his family, and he eventually went to study at the Pamplona School of Aplied Arts. Later he started to sculpt, concentrating on woodcarving, ceramics and also working in iron. At the age of 20 he started participating in expositions of painting and sculpture. In Navarra, together with other artists, he formed El Punto a collective of artists of various artistic styles. |

| 1992: 2nd Prize (Silver Medal); International Competition L´Ecologia Ambiente y Natura Salerno (Italia). 1991: Named for: Estellés del Año. 1987: 3rd prize for Sculpture in the III Concurse; Pamplona Jóvenes Artistas Pamplona Town Hall (Naturaleza Viva). 1986: First Prize for Sculpture Certamen de Artes Plásticas para Jóvenes Government of Navarra; Representación de Navarra in Certamen Nacional de Artes Plásticas para Jóvenes Valecia; Ministerio de Cultura; Instituto de Juventud. Since 1992 Carlos has obstained from taking part in any art competitions or contests. |
