| In the words of the Artist: My works reflects the influence of my former home in the Peak Ditsrict of Derbyshire. A new life in the city (London) brought with it different cultures and ideas but accompanied with these a feelings of absence something that could almost be described as a sense of inner loss. It was then I saw the opportunity of filling the void by using my own paintings. Lanscape painting has provided the means of searching for self-identification recreating a forum for past memories from which my work has evolved. Chloe began painting after moving from the countryside to live in London. She says; “Landscape painting has provided the means of searching for self-identification, recreating a forum for past memories from which my work has evolved.” Indeed, her paintings do create a strong sense of memories or impressions of scenes lived in childhood, golden moments or hazy recollections of summer evenings. |
