| Chris Francis was born in Birmingham, in 1946. He is unusual as an artist in that he has had a long and varied career in business. He firmly believes in working from the subject matter, influenced by the Impressionists and later artists such as Van Gogh, Degas and CĂ©zanne. He produces monochromes or multi-colored under-paintings in acrylics and then works over the images in wax crayon or oil pastels. He currently runs workshopes in life drawing and painting in London. |
