| Hanoi, Vietnam, 1965 – Emerging Vietnamese artist, Dao Hai Phong generally creates landscapes from his home country. The artist graduated from Hanoi College of Fine Arts in 1987. He usually paints scenes from villages or Hanoi streets, executed in very bright colors such as blue, yellow, green or red. The application of characteristically strong colour schemes draws the viewer's attention to the key elements and the simplicity of his paintings. Phong has participated in various art shows in Hanoi, and also in the following countries abroad: Britain (1994), Hong Kong (1996), Laos (1997), USA (1997, 2001), and Italy (1997). |
