| F.Catalá-Roca was born in Valls, Spain, in 1922. He died in Barcelona in 1998. His works deal with varied themes, from landscape to cityscape, from artistic documentation to etnography. He was awarded the Ciutat de Barcelona photography award in 1951 and in 1952 the Photography Medal. In 1998 he was dedicated a homage by the Barcelona organization Primavera Fotográfica. Many exhibitions of his work have been held in Europe Asia and the Americas. In May 2000 an extensive retrospective exhibition of his work was held in La Fundación Joan Miró Barcelona. |
