| Pittsburgh, 1937 - American-born, Spanish painter and printmaker, Miguel CONDÉ´s FIGURATIVE art remains very personalized with elements of fantasy and symbolism. Born in Pittsburgh, he moved to New York in 1948 and received his training with Steven ROGERS PECK. In 1974, he moved to Paris, with a scholarship and trained under Stanley WILLIAM HAYTER. After returning to the US, he began teaching at the UNIVERSITY OF IOWA. In 1969, he moved back to Europe and lived in Sitges (near Barcelona) and currently lives in Madrid. In 1989, the Artist was awarded the prestigious “EuroAmerican Printmaker” award. He has exhibited in numerous EXHIBITIONS in the U.S., Europe and Mexico.
