| My latest paintings are exploring ideas of happiness; togetherness and love. I have been documenting answers to a questionaire I put together on happiness. These answers have given me a unique insight into the images other people have of happiness and how transient the emotion often seems to them.,These paintings by Sophie McKay-Knight explore ideas of happiness, togetherness and love. | yet there is a tension in their unity. They look lost in yellow coloured fields and are small and joined together - but somehow pulling apart. Her soft use of tone and color creates a dreamlike sensation in her works. |
