| Alicante, Spain, 1967 – As a promising up-coming Spanish artist, Samuel del Amor works with POLAROID SX-70 emulsion. In his work there is no manipulation (manual or digital) and he uses no filter to alter the final result of the photographic image. All the Polaroid photographs are scanned to create a digital negative that enables the blow up into different sizes, conserving the original one. In 1988 he got in touch with photography being at the same time interested in film production and script. In 1990 he moves to Madrid where he enrols in ESF, the senior photography academy in the city, managed by Manuel Soler and with the specialist in History of the Photography, Enrique Peral; he followed attending seminars with Eduardo Momeñe, Andreas Müller-Phole, Sebastiao Salgado, Joan Fontcuberta, Jimmy FoxÂ…, in Madrid and El Escorial. He has also worked like script writer in TV series “PERIODISTAS”- Tele 5 (2000-2001) and in a production company, EKLEKTICA PRODUCCIONS – DIGIMEDIA (1993-1999).
