KCHO was born in Nueva Gerona, Cuba, in 1970.
 
Education:
KCHO graduated from the National School of Fine Arts, Havana, in 1990.
 
Honour:
KCHO has been awarded many prestigious prizes and awards. Among these:

1995: The UNESCO Prize for Promotion of the Arts, Geneva, Switzerland.

1994: Scholarship granted by the Ludwig Foundation.

1992: Made member of the Jury of the National Salon of the National Museum Palace of Fine Arts, Havana.

1990: Saiz Brothers Association Prize.
