| The artists says of her own work: I believe the events depicted in my paintings to be worthwhile stories. Intended as honest confessions to a friend they have no beginning middle or end they are dreawn with no conceivable volume and offer no reasonable evidence to entertain the grasping mind. My paintings narrate that which when manifest will happen in a fraction of time or no time at all when dreaming. These are moments of self-revelation and in no way are they simple of single. Have I got the skills to handle revelation? Have I enough familiarity with these moments to construct a credible narration? The hope I have resides in humour the sense of my smallness the beauty of colour and the infinite generosity of the viewer. |
