Biography:
Joan was born in Barcelona in 1931. He studied at the Stock Exchange Art School, Barcelona and created, together with Alcoy i Rovira,Brull and Planell, the 'School of Barcelona'. In 1981, he was named as a Professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Barcelona.

1981: The National Prize for Plastic Arts - awarded by the Spanish Ministry of Education.

1981: National Fine Arts Prize Madrid.

II Bienal Internacional of Rijeka Drawings.

1966: I Bienal Internacional for Printmaking Cracovia.

1965: Malibor Prize. VI Bienal for Printmaking Ljublijana Slovenia.
