| In the early 1990s, Hong Viet was one of the leading artists of the Post Doi Moi era to readically change the direction of painting in Vietnam. This group of young artists spearheaded a new direction among painters towards a distinctive kind of art, inspired by impressionism and abstraction. The Gang of Five, as they became know, have transformed and expanded the traditional forms of painting. |
