Biography:

| Petros Martin was born in Canada, in 1951. After studying in Italy and extensive travel in Europe, he eventually settled in Toronto, in 1986, where he continues to live and work. |

Education:

| Petros Martin undertook extensive studies in art, from 1975 to 1992. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts, Rome, The Academy of Fine Arts, Venice, Italy and also privately in Montreal at Atelier George Masse. |

| Though the texture of my work is profoundly influenced by the colors of late Renaissance frescos and modern art the content of my art never abandons the indelible image of the human form in all its aspects of life. Thus in my canvases the aesthetic line...tends to blend content and form in a style that ranges from minimal representationalism to modern two-dimensional imagism. |
